Depending on demand you can get a good deal (you'll pay between £99 - £140 for a double room, more for a family room), but you'll often be better off selecting the little know stansted airport motel or a stansted hotel or guest house slightly further away (but that is set up to cater for holiday parking - which is important).

Their rates range from £79 for one night in a double room at a budget hotel (including 15 days parking) to between £99 and £140 for one night at the stansted airport Hilton hotel (again including 15 days parking).

If they only offer the Hilton when you search online don't give up. Telephone them on 08871 360 2110 and ask them to check their offline system for stansted hotels too. The two aren't always linked.

Another website to check for hotels near Stansted Airport is FHR hotels . They have a slightly less choice of than Holiday Extras but often keener prices. If you want a family room this must be confirmed offline, but they offer stansted hotels at really good rates - such as single rooms at the Bushel and Sack for £65.
